General

What is Evony? Evony is a TOTALLY FREE massively multiplayer online browser-based strategy game developed by UMGE. What are Browser Games (Web Games)? Browser Games are electronic games that are played on web browsers. They are distinct from other video and computer games in that they typically do not require any client side software to be installed, apart from the web browser. There are games that rely solely on client-side technologies such as JavaScript or common plugins such as Java or Flash Player, whereas some employ server-side scripting. The latter case consists typically of (massive) multiplayer games, whereas the client-side games are typically single-player games. A game played in a browser is often called a browser-based game. How can I play Evony? Evony runs in most modern browsers, such as Internet Explorer, Firefox, Safari or Google Chrome. You will also need Adobe Flash Player 9. How do I create my own account? You can create a new account just with your email address and choose a Lord Name for your ingame character. Having login problems? Check your network connection Try back in a few minutes. It may be a congestion problem with our servers Check the maintenance notice on the Forum whenever you have problems with login. Is Evony difficult to play? Evony provides a detailed Guidance throughout the game in order to help beginners(Beginner Guidance Part 1, Beginner Guidance Part 2, Beginner Guidance Part 3) to get on hand quickly and easily. How to add funds? Evony is a TOTALLY FREE game to play but some ingame Items which help players develop faster and better will be charged. Players may enter the game and click the buttons "Buy Game Coins" or "Evony Premuim Rewards" in "Shop" to start this process. Therefore, Evony is classified as a "Freenium". A game where you can pay or not. Can Evony provide an instant delivery after I add funds? We only accept Paypal for Evony Billing System for its safety and convenience. Development

Population How does the population grow? Your population is determined by a number of factors.. one being max pop which is determined by your cottages. then loyalty and taxrate have an affect. Taxes affect loyalty. Higher loyalties will increase your current population in relation to max pop. Low loyalty will Lower your current pop. Using prayer and disaster relief increase loyalty which are helpful. I sometimes use the comfort 100% tax technique. However, even though loyalty is at 100%, if I train troops, the population does not seem to come back, and population growth halts, any ideas? If your tax is set at 100% population does not regrow. If you need population to go up reduce your tax rate. Cities How do I build a new city? To build a new city you must first conquer a flat of any level. Then you must have 250 workers and 10,000 of each resource including gold. Select the conquered flat, click the Build City button and after some time your new city will be erected! This information is in-game as well, hover over the little fort icon at bottom right of your interface. Is there a limit to how many cities you can build? The number of cities a player can control is based on their title. The maximum number of cities allowed is 10. You must have the title of Prinzessin. Buildings Where should I put my buildings? There aren't any benefits from building placements. What are all the buildings that are non-vital? Once you have completed all of your research, you no longer need to maintain a workshop, forge, or stable. If you have all of the heroes you require, an inn is also optional. What is Michaelangelo's Script and how do I get it? Michelangelo Script is an item used for upgrading buildings from Lv. 9 to Lv. 10. You can acquire this item from the Package for Lords given to you by Evony, or you can buy them in the Item shop, or you can find them by attacking NPCs. How do you destroy a building? You can destroy a building all in one go, or one level at a time. Destroying a building all in one go requires Dynamite. Regardless of destroying it all at once, or one level at a time. Open the building and click on the icon. You will be prompted to choose between "all at once" or "one level only". Do I need an embassy in every town? No you do not. You only need one to be in an alliance but having one in each town means that allies can garrison troops in your town which might be necessary if attacked.

Alliance

What do I have to build to form a new alliance? An Embassy Lv 2 is required to form an alliance as well as some gold. What are the limits of an alliance? You can have 2 Vice Hosts, 5 Presbyters and 10 Officers. How do I change alliance name without expelling my members? Alliance names can not be changed once formed. The only way to change the name is expel everyone, create a new alliance and invite them all back.

Heroes and Troops

Can I change my mayor? Yes you can.. you change the mayor from the Feasting Hall What determines the maximum number of any particular military unit that you are allowed to build/maintain? You can maintain as many troops as you have the food for.

Items and Trade

I have gold but how do you get more cents to buy things with? Cents can be acquired a number of ways. Real money is the best way to get them but isnt the only way. You get some when you first start an account and there are quests that offer them as an award. You can also receive them from the Wheel of Fortune when using an Amulet. Can players trade cents? Short answer... no. Can you send resources like food to another player and if you can; How do you do this? You can only send resources to an ally. Put extra resources on your troops (transporters work good for this but scouts are faster) and send them to the players town via Transport. Does one truce flag cover all your cities or do you need a flag for each? All of your cities.
